Brand New Film Production Studios based in Camberwell, London.

Camberwell Studios is an exciting new film and video production facility opened in South London.

Since opening on Valentine's Day, Camberwell Studios have been getting steadily busier and building a reputation for a fun, easy, stress-free environment to work.

At the heart of the facilities are two film studios that will meet the expectations of a wide range of filmmakers, from the low budget independent productions to large corporate adverts and music promo's.

Studio 1 is a multi-purpose large film and video studio space of 1,300 sq ft with plenty of natural light or blackout.

This space is 17m x 7m and has drive-in access, 300A power, white cyc, lighting grid at 4m, offering plenty of space for props and crew. This studio is ideal for film, video and tv production sets, music video productions, corporate videos, seminars and the in-studio production of small movies for tv.

Studio 2 is designed for green screen digital film and video productions. At 400 sq ft it provides superb soundproof green screen and comes with green cyc, pre-lit and ready for action.

Del Wilson, studio manager, comments:

‘Having the sound stage as well as the big stage means we are getting an interesting variety of clients, recently K.I.G, The Dolly Rockers and the fabulous Skunk Anansie filmed their latest music videos and tv production companies for Derren Brown and Charlie Booker's Screenwipe have used us'.

Each studio has its own changing, hospitality and make up rooms. These combined with a canteen, more akin to your friendly local internet café make the studios a pleasant working experience.

Andy Woodruff, marketing manager, explains:

‘Our aim is to build a reputation for being a reliable, reasonably priced facility where our customers can make themselves at home and get on with their business. Being in Camberwell makes sense for us: there is a dearth of local film and video production facilities yet the area has an abundance of producers, directors, camera operators and other creative's'.

Woodruff continues ‘Camberwell is a great place to be, there is a local art scene and we are just down the road from The Sun and Doves, a gastro- pub which doubles as an art gallery and a film club venue. A lot of industry people live in South London and they are always pleased to find a venue that is easy to get and has free parking'.
